About the photographer

Arie J. van den Hout is a Dutch wildlife photographer. At a young age, Arie was already overwhelmed by the unspoiled beauty of nature. Eager to capture his intimate encounters with animals on film he bought his first camera at the age of fifteen. He gets better and better and discovers more and more beautiful places. First in the Netherlands, then also abroad, such as the Camargue in the South of France.

That leads to a first exhibition, the first presentation about photography and the first newspaper article about his work. When he lived in London for eight years this new continent provides tremendous room for discovery. His gear ánd photographs get even better and his pictures get published in magazines, agenda’s, calendars and on postcards.
