Ineke Vaasen | Dutch Fine Art Photographer
Ineke is a passionate ‘image maker’ and ‘floral designer’. She designs large-scale flower arrangements which she captures on camera and she makes remarkable portraits. In her photo series flowers are a returning element. Nature, the seasons and the colors that go with it inspire her every day. The variation of portraits and flowers are therefore closely intertwined. In photography she combines these facets and the creative possibilities are endless.
Ineke loves creative photography which is more than just taking a picture. It’s about capturing emotions, a composition and an atmosphere with beautiful lighting, for which it is important for the portrayed person to be completely at ease. We do the shoot together, sometimes with a make-up artist and a stylist, in the studio or outside in nature. With natural materials and of course flowers, photography fits perfectly with portraits. With an eye for color, light and composition, she blends various elements into a harmonic whole and the beauty and transience of flowers and natural objects are lifted to the level of art. The message is above all that many natural elements are perishable and Ineke shows that through the lens to the viewer in, among other things, the flower portraits.
Nicky about Ineke
When I first saw Ineke’s work I was enchanted by the beautiful portraits she makes, inspired by ao Oopjen by Rembrandt and his contemporaries. And as her flower photo’s also show, Ineke truly has a good eye for composition.
